2023 Northern Hemisphere Winners

And the winners are…..

The day has finally arrived where we announce the winners of our 2023 Northern Hemisphere Astrophotography competition!

As always in the nPAE competitions, the quality of all the entries was outstanding and the attention to detail and effort required to achieve the standards on display is at the cutting edge of amateur astronomy.

It’s not an easy job to judge who is best when trying to decide between close ups of the Merope Nebula, mosaics of the entire Orion constellation or “Helping Hands” in Cassiopeia…

In reverse order:

3rd Place – Ancient Petroglyphs. Marcin, USA

This stunning long exposure taken on a Nikon D810 of the Milky Way’s core shows stunning depth and originality layering petroglyphs, mountains and our own galaxy into one image.
